About Poly-Emp
Poly-Emp is a registered charitable trust formed in 1993. We assist tertiary graduates & others with intellectual & learning difficulties to find paid employment & reach their full potential in their chosen career.
Poly – Emp Employment and Advisory Service is an incorporated society under the Charitable Trust Act 2005. The service was first established out of a growing need for graduate students with a disability to find and maintain employment.
- We work closely with employers offering support with training, subsidies and general problem solving. There are many benefits to employers of using a supported employment service.
- Students at MIT and Unitec complete a two year life skills and employment course and if they choose can then make a referral to Poly-Emp for support in accessing paid employment.
- After a referral is made a career plan meeting is put in place including a Poly-Emp employment advisor, the candidate, families and/or caregivers. An inclusive and collaborative approach has been identified as the most effective way for the candidate to reach their employment goals.
- Poly-Emp offers a range of exciting and innovative group programs for job seekers and for people in work.
